Job Description:

Data Center Engineering & Operations Manager
The Data Center Engineering and Operations Manager will lead a team of data center professionals in the engineering, installation, and 24x7 operation of data centers, proximity hosting sites, and office IDFs globally.
-Lead, align, and structure the team to deliver service excellence.
-Develop and mentor managers and individual contributors on the team.
-Manage and provide overall oversight of team’s project portfolio.
-Review and evolve the department’s product and service delivery.
-Oversee adherence to processes and procedures and evolve them when needed.
-Ensure the governance of all data center hardware inventory and its security.
-Provide vendor and service contract governance.
-Design, build, operate, and manage data centers and proximity hosting sites globally.
-Design (IT specifications), manage, and collaborate on the security of office IDFs.


-A proven track record of managing large scale data centers, related engineering, and daily operations. -Financial industry experience strongly preferred.
-A minimum of 10 years experience in team management.
-BS degree in a STEM field, preferably engineering.
-Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
-Knowledge and understanding of power, cooling, cabling, and related systems.
-Successful delivery of project management and related techniques.
-Demonstrable soft skills.
-Excellent organization and planning skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional candidates will have:
-Financial industry experience engineering and operating data centers and proximity hosting sites globally for at least 7 years.
-Deep knowledge of hardware architecture; servers and storage.
-Knowledge of Operating Systems administration; Linux and Windows.
-High level knowledge of networking technologies and principles.
-ITIL Certification.
*Will Relocate The Right Candidate!  Will Sponsor Visa’s.  Will only consider candidates from top tier computer science universities and/or individuals with a stellar GPA.  Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from a top computer science program with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  PhD preferred.  Top computer science program preferred (Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology/MIT, Stanford University, University of California-Berkeley, Cornell University, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, Princeton University, University of Washington, University of Texas-Austin, Georgia Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, etc.
