Job Description:

VoIP Tier ll Operations Support Specialist (Systems Administrator)
We are currently in need of a VoIP Tier II Operations Support Specialist.
Candidates must have an active Secret security clearance.
Requirements and Technical Skills:
-Configure and troubleshoot CUCM, Unity and UCS.
-Able to trace IPs and Mac Addresses on the network.
-Ability to communicate with and guide non-technical personnel in troubleshooting of VOIP phone and network troubleshooting.
-Provide technical and professional guidance to the VOIP Network team in the day to day operations of the Operations Center.
-Provide support for technical direction and engineering expertise for communications (LAN/MAN/WAN) systems infrastructure activities, including network planning, designing, and implementing communications infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems.
-Ensure that adequate and appropriate planning is provided to direct building architects and planners in building communications spaces, networks, and media pathways to meet industry standards. Interfaces with internal and external customer and vendors to determine communications infrastructure needs.
-Secret security clearance is a must.
-Have a good understanding of Cisco switches, routers and Exchange mail servers.
-Familiarity with routing protocols, VLANs, DHCP and CDP neighbors.
-Experience with network monitoring tools, preferably CUOM, RTMT and Solarwinds.
-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with 5 years of related experience.  Equivalents:  High School diploma with 9 years of specialized experience in related field, or Associates Degree with 7 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with 3 years experience, or Doctorate Degree with 1 year experience.
-Certifications:  CCNA VOIP a plus.
-Need to know how to open and work with Cisco TAC cases to resolve issues.
-Need to know how storage environment interrelates with Cisco devices.
-Good verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate with engineers, management and customers.
-The VOIP engineer is the primary point of contact for VOIP related issues with LEC, Tier III, client/Customer, CIC and Management.
